Features

Premium Audio Technologies for Superb Surround Sound
Fully compatible with current HD audio formats, the Denon AVR-1913 7.1-Channel A/V Receiver provides powerful, theater-quality surround sound. It ensures maximum audio performance with multiple technologies:

Equal Power Amp Design:
Each of the AVR-1913's seven 90-watt channels is powered by its own discrete circuit. This allows the receiver to reproduce original sound more faithfully than conventional models, which use integrated circuits.

High-Definition Audio Support:
The AVR-1912 features support for Blu-ray high-definition audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. These formats play back sound with exceptional fidelity, providing a more realistic listening experience.

Dolby Pro Logic IIz:
With the option of two additional height channels, this feature adds a vertical dimension to the soundstage, providing more immersive surround sound.

Audyssey MultEQ Support:
Audyssey technology helps create an optimal acoustic profile for your home theater. Using the included calibration microphone, Audyssey MultEQ measures sound levels and adjusts speaker configuration accordingly, making setup fast and easy.

Full HD Support
With six HDMI inputs, the AVR-1913 allows you to route multiple high-definition devices--like game consoles and Blu-ray players--to your TV. It also allows you to connect all of your devices to your TV with a single HDMI cable, reducing cable clutter.

Vivid 3D Visuals with HDMI v1.4a
The AVR-1913 comes equipped with HDMI v1.4a, allowing you to make the most of several premium video features:

3D Pass-Through
With the advent of 3D media, it is important to own a receiver that recognizes 3D video signals. The AVR-1912 is able to pass through 3D signals from your Blu-ray player, ensuring that the 3D effect doesn't get lost in translation. It also recognizes signals from 3D television broadcasts.

Audio Return Channel:
HDMI v1.4a also features Audio Return Channel functionality, which allows for audio content from your display to be played back through the AVR-2112CI via the single HDMI cable that goes from the receiver to the display. This eliminates the need for separate audio and video cables running from your TV to the receiver.

Deep Color and x.v.Color Support:
The AVR-1913 also supports Deep Color and x.v.Color schemes, which can display a larger color range than standard-definition schemes. The result is a more lifelike, vibrant picture.

Enhanced Network Capability and iPod Connectivity
When connected to a network, the AVR-1912 lets you listen to Internet radio, play audio files, and display images via an Ethernet connection. The receiver also supports AirPlay, which allows you to stream music wirelessly from an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iTunes. Or, connect an iPhone/iPod/iPad directly to the receiver with a USB cable.

With the Denon Remote App installed on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, you can perform basic operations, like turning the AVR-1913's power on or off, adjusting the volume, and switching sources.

FLAC HD Decoding
For serious audio enthusiasts, FLAC HD decoding support provides for the ultimate playback of your high-definition music files. A compressed audio restorer guarantees that playback of any compressed audio files, such as MP3, WMA, and AAC, is crisp and clear.

The AVR-1913 is compatible with Windows 7 audio and photo streaming, as well as giving you convenient web control. This receiver provides online support for Pandora, Flickr, Napster, and Rhapsody, allowing you to enjoy a wide variety of online digital content at any time.

GUI Overlay and Remote Control for Simple Operation
With its programmable functions and intuitive button layout, the AVR-1912 is designed for ease of use. The front panel is smartly organized, featuring clearly labeled buttons and onboard controls for volume and source. In addition, its on-screen display provides quick information about your system's settings.

The AVR-1912's pre-memory remote control with Glo-Key and on-screen programming is easy to setup and use, thus giving you more flexibility in controlling your home theater.

Great Deal
I have went from a Top of the Line Sony Receiver to the Denon AVR 1913 Receiver, and there is a difference between night and day. In quality of sound and with the automatic tuning using the Microphone it sets it up just as it needs to be. One note: Using the 7.1 setup, it will ask you if your using the FLH and FRH (FH=Front Height)say "no" and then this will allow your system to function at its optimal during the automatic microphone, you must switch the FLH & FRH to Surround connections and the your rear speakers set in the Surround Back "Assignable" position. Now perform the Automatic Setup.. Hope this helps.

fantastic mid-priced receiver
This is an excellent receiver for someone wanting a mix of power, features, and a modest price tag. The 1912 model is a 7.1 receiver that has 90 watts of clean power (0.08% THD) for all channels at 8 ohms. This is enough power to make 89db speakers achieve Dolby reference sound levels in most rooms. Most people would have a very hard time listening to the receiver turned all the way up. The Dolby Dynamic volume will make loud commercials a thing of the past. You can use the receiver in a multi-zone configuration to power a 5.1 theater and use the other 2 channels for music speakers elsewhere in the home. A great way to take advantage of the multi-zone is by connecting multiple room speakers to a speaker selector, and then the speaker selector to the receiver.

Fantastic mid-priced receiver
The 1912 includes a microphone for Audyssey calibrations. This is the final step of installation. You place the microphone where you sit, plug it in, and hit start. You'll hear a sequence of odd sounds as the receiver measures the room and then sets the proper levels for all speakers. I find that I like more bass than the calibration does. I turn the subwoofer to 1/4 power, run the calibration, then turn the sub to 3/4. This is my preference on how explosions should sound and overwhelm music in a movie (I mean, do you really think you would hear a band playing if you were next to a canon blasting?). The receiver supports many audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and dts master. The receiver is a 3D model and simply needs a 1.3b or later HDMI to connect your 3D BluRay player and another to connect your TV. This year Denon introduced the Networking feature to the 1900 level receivers. You simply plug an Ethernet cable into the rear of the receiver. The networking allows you to listen to internet radio with great clarity, music files from your home network, and you can display images from your network. The really cool part of the AirPlay is the iPad/iPhone/iTouch/iTunes streaming accessed from the iDevices. You simply turn on your iPad, select the Denon app, and change the streaming music. The features that I've listed are only a few that this receiver offers. All in all, I strongly recommend the 1912 for most people. It has all the features you need for a great experience.
