It also improves communications between all of those rooms, with state-of-the-art paging and audio/video monitoring. Built around the world’s first 7.1 A/V receiver with an integrated multiroom/multizone controller, W.H.E.N. systems use advanced digital signal transfer technology and local amplification to distribute high-quality audio to the farthest reaches of even the largest houses. Have full access to any Audio / Video Source Connected to your System. By adding the proper number of AVH21 8 Room Distribution Modules, this system can support up to 20 Room Keypads.
KP21 keypads are also the industry’s most-powerful keypad amplifiers. Each keypad delivers 50 watts per channel of local power, eliminating long speaker runs and the signal loss that goes with them. With preamplifier outputs and source inputs, the keypads can connect a local source such as an iPod and also allow easy connection of a subwoofer for extra bass and party volume.
Distributed entertainment systems rely on the usability of their remote keypads, and Audioaccess has always had the best in the business. W.H.E.N. KP21 display keypads set a new standard of functionality, with separate modes for entertainment, paging and audio/video monitoring.

Entertainment Mode
Select “Entertain” on the main menu and take control of two AM/FM tuners and up to six A/V sources. A simple on-screen menu for each device includes up to eight commands, and displays status information from the radio tuners, your iPod and select satellite radio tuners. To turn on multiple rooms with one touch, just press “Party.” |
Paging Mode
Select “Paging” to activate a sophisticated whole-house communications system. Speak to a specific room, a group of rooms or the entire household through system loudspeakers. Paged rooms can answer back through the KP21’s built-in microphone. |
Audio and Video "Monitoring" Mode
Select “Monitor” to listen in on a baby’s room, or to check the output from up to seven security cameras on the local TV in any room. |
Additional Functions
Wake or fall asleep to any entertainment source. Remotely unlock up to two electronic door locks. Customize the menu names for any room or source in the system. With an IR receiver for remote operation anywhere in a room and independent control of bass, treble and EQ settings, KP21 keypads give users intuitive control of even elaborate W.H.E.N. infotainment systems, yet they fit standard two-gang electrical boxes. |
