This is our starting point for Home Theater.  For this price point we typically match up high quality book shelf satellite speakers, a powered subwoofer and a digital receiver that has many features and functions to control and improve your sound quality.  An additional benefit from employing a Denon or Pioneer ELITE receiver is that it can automatically set up all the audio parameters by using either Audyssey or MCACC audio calibrations. All that is required for this feature is connecting the microphone your receiver, place the microphone at your seating position and start the program.  Once the calibration is finished, all your levels, phases and distances will be set up to a referenced standard.  This is a easy way to go from “…that sounds good…” to “…that sounds great!”.

The benefit of going with the small bookshelf satellite speakers is that you can have a great sound from a very small package that can be mounted on a wall, or easily placed on speaker stands.  No longer do you have to limit your floor space with big and bulky floor standing speakers when a small bookshelf speaker can get the job done well.  The subwoofer will normally be placed into a corner to take advantage of room gain.
