This is the area when the fun really starts.
At this price point one might expect a system that includes a Flat Panel TV (LCD or Plasma) or an entry level projector and screen. The LCD’s are a great option for most people because they do not have problems with images burning into the screen, they are efficient, very bright, have all but eliminated screen glare, have a very long usable life (60,000 hours!) and they have great pictures with large amounts of ambient light. If one wants a projector in the Theater Room then this is the price point when we start bidding High Definition projectors with screens appropriate to the viewing room. With either a Flat Panel or Projector one can gain the benefits of a large screen, High Definition and a BluRay player.
We normally include a receiver that has an upconversion feature to either Component for analog and HDMI for digital, or all video inputs get upconverted to HDMI so you have one cable connecting your TV with your stereo. More often than not the receivers also include a scaling process that improves the video quality and scales to 1080p. These receivers normally have rated power from 110 to 140 watts per channel to all 7 channels of the receiver.
A few select receivers are also networkable. The higher end Denon receivers have a fantastic on-screen display that makes menu navigation an ease. With them being networkable the receivers can stream music from your computer’s hard drive and play the music through your stereo, and you can stream internet radio from nearly every internet radio station. All you need for both of these amazing features is a network cable run to your modem’s router. Any receiver that is networkable is also iPod ready and with an optional docking station you can plug your iPod into your system and use your receiver’s remote to navigate through the iPod menu with your receiver’s remote.
7.1 speaker packages are the norm for this price range. We have many different types of speakers for this Theater Pack: Floor Standing towers with bookshelf surrounds, Bookshelf packages, On-Wall packages, In-wall packages, and In-ceiling packages. We have a solution for you no matter what style of speaker system you prefer. We also include a powerful subwoofer to really deliver the bass and explosions in movies, or discrete in-wall subwoofer for those who do not want the box in the corner.
Any system that we put together includes protection from electrical surges and the dirty nature of AC power. You need to protect your electronics from the power they use, from spikes in the power lines, and you need replacement protection from lightning damage. We use Monster Cable’s Monster Power Line Conditioning products as our “go to” equipment for the stellar performance, competitive pricing and the Replacement Protection coverage on all their Monster Power products.
