About Central Vacuum Systems

Home Central vacuum systems are a great addition to any home. These Vacuum Systems do not require you to carry a heavy unit from room to room - up and down the stairs. These Central vacuum systems are designed to remove all the dirt and debris from your house and send it through tubing located in the walls to a receptacle in an out-of-the-way location like a garage or basement. With central vacuums, you only carry a lightweight hose and power brush unit around the house. The power unit is permanent and out of the way.

With any of our central vacuum systems, you place inlets around your home in any number of convenient locations. Instead of plugging a portable vacuum into pre-determined electrical outlets and hoping the cord reaches around your home, you can move the central vacuum hose from inlet to inlet. Where you put the Vacuum Inlets is up to you. You can even install an automatic dustpan that lets you quickly sweep debris into a wall vent using a regular broom.

Central Vacuum Installation

Whatever your home layout, weather multi-level, two-story our ranch, a Central Vacuum Cleaning system can be planned to meet your needs. As few as three or four inlets can take care of an average size home - plus most nutone power inlets units feature a convenient inlet on the power unit as well.

Each Central Vacuum cleaning system comes packed with a planning and installation guide to eliminate the mystery of central vacuum systems.

There is no mystery, really. A successful installation simply requires understanding how the system works, knowing what your particular cleaning needs demand now and how your house is constructed.

The Do-it-Yourself homeowner with some knowledge of electricity can install the central vacuum system - Or consult with your builder, plumber, or electrician to provide professional installation. A typical installation of a central vacuum system can usually be accomplished in a day or less - Typically a good weekend project.

For New Construction

In New Homes under construction, the installation of a Central Vacuum System is simple! Just plan the location of the central vac inlets with your builder or contractor. Tubing and inlets are installed and the electrical hook-up for the power unit is made before drywall, plaster or finished flooring is in place. That's All...

For those trying to stretch their home building dollars, a home can be conveniently pre-tubed, with the power unit selected and installed at a later date.

For Existing Construction

Installation is easy in existing homes as well. Cutting through drywall, plaster and flooring can be kept to a minimum and is determined by the number and location of the central vacuum inlets. Tubing can be run through cold air returns, closets and stairwells.
