ATON's DH44 Digital Audio Router with DIGI-5 Technology is a groundbreaking end-to-end digital multi-source, multi-zone solution for superior sound quality with no signal loss. The DH44 can distribute four audio sources (analog or digital) into 4 zones and is expandable to 28 zones total using DH46X expansion routers. Using high-grade analog-to-digital converters, the DH44 transfers SPDIF digital audio over Cat5 wire to all connected DHTP1 Digital Amplified Touch Pads.

Convenient Touch Pad Control

The DHTP1 Touch Pad features a built-in, high efficiency digital amplifier (30 Watts per channel) and requires no PC software programming to operate - just plug in and you're ready to go. Once connected to the router, the touch pad can select between four system sources and a local source. For zones in which a local source is desired, such as an iPod?, gaming system or other in-room audio component, simply connect the DHSIP Source Input Wall Plate to the DHTP1 Touch pad via Cat5 wire, plug in the local source and select it from the touch pad. The digitally amplified audio is passed from the touch pad to in-room speakers over standard speaker wire, delivering audio like you've never heard before.

Basic Installation Steps

Step 1
Install the DH44 and DH46x modules in a central location (Can be a closet or Audio Video Rack). Make sure this is a well ventilated area.

Step 2
Run a single cat5e cable from the DH44 and DH46x modules to each DHTP1 Keypad. Also run a single high power wire front the hub to the Zone 1 Keypad.
Tip: For the high power wire use a 16 guage wire.

Step 3
Run a single cat5e cable from the DH44 and DH46x module to each DHSIP Source Input Wall Plate. Terminate the Cat5 cable using an RJ45 connector and the T568A standard.

Step 4
Run a 16 gauge 2 Conductor speaker wire from each DHTP1 keypad, to each speaker (2 speakers per keypad)
Run a Cat5 cable from each Keypad to each Optional DHSIP Local Source Inputs.

Step 5
Connect your sources (CD, Tuner, Cable, iPod) to the DHSIP wall plates using RCA, Optical or Coaxial Digital cables.

Step 6
Install your system Keypads, Terminate the Cat5 using a RJ45 connector and the T568A standard. Connect the speaker wire to each of the 2 speaker outputs.
Install your system Speakers. Connect the speaker wires using the same +- R/L color code as used on the Keypad outputs.
