There are couple of things that make this kit great. One is the power output. Typically systems that have the amplifier built into the keypad (A-Bus) have very low power output and thus very low volume potential along with poor sound quality. This unit can output up to 100 watts per keypad. To get that much power from a tiny little amp is amazing! The second thing I wanted to point out is the cost per zone. This unit has a very low cost for what it actually does. If you have been shopping I’m sure you have seen higher cost solutions with less power and features. I also wanted to be clear on how easy it is to hook up and get working. If you can get the wires to the right places this system is a breeze to set up.
Pros:
Easy to install, set up and use. Power output for this type of system is amazing. Local source wall plates (one for every room) allow you to hook up sources in that room and play them in that room. Bass and treble control for each room so each listener can customize the sound to their own taste and musical preference. Digital inputs on the wall plates for better sound quality.
Cons:
No iPod/tuner/sat radio metadata on the keypads. Uses a structured wiring can to install into (This could be a pro depending on your situation) instead of a rack or shelf mount.
