Moving up the Multi-Room Audio Distribution ladder, this system provides the user with multi-source and multi-room capability, allowing the selection of any audio source (up to 4) from any room (up to 4). With the addition of a second distribution node and the appropriate speakers and keypads, this system expands functionality to 8 zones. For example, someone can listen to the FM tuner in the kitchen, while someone else is enjoying their iPod tunes in the office. This system communicates through Cat 5 wiring. It sends the audio signal to the distribution panel, then to the amplified keypads. The keypads have a built-in amplifier, with a volume control then amplify the audio signal and send it to the speakers.
