Picking a Multi Zone Amplifier
When selecting a multi zone amplifier there are several key features you need to determine before selecting the amplifier. First the number of zones or rooms the amplifier will be powering, second how you plan to control volume (turn knob, or keypad) and third, the number of speakers you need to connect per zone. Each amplifier will have specifications that meet all of these questions. By selecting a multi zone amplifier with the total number of zones to match or exceed the number of rooms you require, then checking the ohm rating to determine if it can support more than 1 speaker per output (4 ohm or lower) will give you the information you require.
