You need to set it to Intrusion Follow to allow time for anyone without a key fob to disarm if it covers your walk in path. So far we have had no problems with our two cats in the house while we're away. Since they like to get water from the kitchen sink

These work incredibly well. I have 3 of these in my house connected to my Abbra 2 PRO. Great range of motion.. I have a pretty big living room and one covers the entire walking area. I also have a cat in the house and not once has it caused an alarm.
