Set it up and forget about it
I have two places that I monitor and both have this ABN adaptor. It works great in both setups. Interesting, it is the same hardware that I use for Vonage as well. I never have to do anything with it, it just runs. Unlike others, I never have to reset it.

Good Product
I've had the ABN adapter for about 7 years now and it has worked well. I would have given 5 stars but for some reason I have to reset the box every so often (once or twice a month)so it could communicate with the rest of the system.

This is an excellent choice for people without traditional phone service. Very small smaller than a box of checks!! As simple to hook up as an answering machine. One phone cord one powerplug and one internet cable, poof your done. You can be up and running

I recently installed the device. From the picture, I expected a device the size of a small dvd player. The actual size is about 2 decks of cards. Every step of the installation process worked without a hitch, and I received confirmation from the alarm c

The recommended wireless bridge to be used with this module will not work with many applications. I purchased a standard wireless ethernet bridge, and the combination works well. The test alarms sent to my service provider via the ADN module and bridge wer

Using VoIP for the alarm system is a great idea, and one of the very few companies that do it. The only issue is that the adapter is not very reliable. I have to reset mine at least once a month, and being the heart of the system, this is not good. I ended

I was looking to eliminate my home phone line and DSL, in favor of a faster internet connection and VOIP. I have an Ademco Vista 20P alarm that has been monitored over the phone line for 4 years. After much research I decided to give NextAlarm a tria

I purchased this for NextAlarm monitoring and it works great. No problems with it at all. It comes with an adapter that is needed if you use a network cable that is not needed for a regular phone connection (this is from the unit to the alarm). Just a head

So far it has been working perfectly. I am so glad I got rid of DEVCON and now use NextAlarm. When I asked Devcon for a solution to removing my land line, they told me the only option was to put radio based equipment valued at $399 (on "sale" at $299) and
