How To Add a Video Door Entry to any Home Intercom System

Most home intercom systems have a doorbell option, however they may not provide a “Video Camera” option to see the door. However, for those who desire a little more “front door Security” this is an easy addition to any intercom. This is done by adding a camera at the front door, with LCD screen near your intercom station(s). This setup will require a Cat5 cable run to a camera location in the house and a wiring closet. You then wire from your wiring closet to each LCD screen with a single Cat5 Cable.

2. (1) Single Gang Electrical Box
3. (1) 3 Gang Electrical Box
4. Cat5 Cable

Expand to Additional Doors or LCD Screens (4 Cam, 4 LCD Max)

1. Add up to 3 additional OnQ Cameras
2. Add up to 3 additional OnQ LCD screens
